Southey Bowling Club is situated in South West London in amongst a quiet residential area near Raynes Park, We have excellent public transport links with buses near the entrance to Wimbledon, Morden and New Malden. Raynes Park train station is less than 10 minutes away with London, Surbiton and Kingston being less than 20 minutes away. If you are driving, we are handily 5 minutes away from the A3. The club has a large car park with 3 electric car recharging points and disabled spaces.

Southey has an excellent record in local, county and national bowling competitions. We play in 3 Mixed bowls leagues which appeal to all levels of bowlers. In 2019 the men reached the Area finals of the National Double 4s and have 2 bowlers in the current Surrey Middleton Cup team, We also had a four and a pair which reached the Semi Finals of the Surrey County competitions. The Ladies have 7 bowlers who play in Surrey Johns Trophy Team who won the National title in 2019, 6 of whom are in the Walker Cup (Surrey double rink) squad. We are also pleased to say that we have 2 junior England international bowlers.The club is a member of the Local Wimbledon, Kingston and Sutton Bowling competitions. 

 

We have a superb bowling green which is the envy of the bowlers in Surrey and surrounding counties, so much so we are the venue for latter stages of Surrey County competitions and the Surrey team regularly host matches against other counties.

 

We have an excellent new modern clubhouse opened in 2019, Downstairs has the Members Lounge Area with full stocked bar, kitchen, pool table and dartboard. Upstairs we have a large function room with Bar, Dancefloor, this is used regularly used for parties or meetings. 

 

We also have a balcony to watch the bowls in the summer. So far we’ve had parties for the Young and the more senior person. Every Monday we have a Zumba Class, We also hold regular Bingo, Quizzes and Coffee mornings. Members are also part of a Local Darts league and a Pool league. 

 

The function room is available for members and friends of members. The club has full disabled access with a lift and disabled toilets.
